Hello and welcome to episode I think 14.

Cult Leader, I'm your Cult Leader Spencer Henry. If you are a new listener, Cult Leader is a podcast about creepy stuff and I just talk about it.

If you're not looking for that, you are going to be highly disappointed.

I know we talked a little bit last week about placing on the US iTunes, which is super exciting. I was so excited about that.

We were in the top 200 across all categories for podcasts, so like every podcast.

And then I found out this past week that we were on the top 100 for the UK iTunes. So shout out to all of my friends across the pond.

It's so wild. I figured out you were able to look at the different countries and cities where people listen. And there's so many. So hello to all of you.

I'm excited that you're here. And it's funny. I was talking to my dad this weekend and he's just like my friend, BobaBah, was listening to the podcast.

And once he got past the F-bombs, he said it was pretty good. And I like cringed a little because I'm like, oh God, I think he works with my dad.

And it's such a funny thing because I forget all the time that people or that there's the potential that people are listening that could know my family or friends or friends of friends. So it's so funny.

But I'm that way with Instagram too. Like even though there's people there, I don't think of that when I post like a picture on Instagram or when I'm recording quote-liter, I don't think in my head of my listeners.

And I'm grateful for you all and I love talking to you all. But I feel like if I tried to, if I was constantly thinking about like, well, what if so and so is listening or this or that.

I think I'd become like this super filtered edited version of myself and I don't want to do that because that would be really fucking hard to maintain and keep up with.

So to be honest, I'm just lazy. So you're getting the raw deal. You're just getting me all the time.

Really, I'm in Oakland right now. I'm here. My sister's having a big birthday party this weekend, which I'm super excited about. And let's just let's fucking go. Okay. I've wasted it. I've wasted it enough of your time. Told myself I wouldn't do this again.

Here we are. Holy shit. Catherine Knight. I honestly don't even know where to start with this one. So Catherine Knight, she was just a fucking who in a half. Like if you want the quintessential nutcase, here you go.

She was born in Australia October 24th, 1955, a Scorpio. I think we all know. And her childhood was a shit show. So it's kind of a long story, but I'll try and just make it as compact as I can.

Her mom Barbara was originally married to this guy, Jack Ruffin. They had four sons together, but Barbara was having an affair with Jack's coworker Ken Knight.

And so Ken and Barbara, like the whole town knew basically that they were having this affair and they were basically like shamed out of their home. So the two of them move from Aberdeen in Australia where they were living
