Very excited to have musician, actress, and all-around-lovely human being,

Caitlin Tarver on today's episode. Last year she just released her very first

full album called subject to change, which has a lot of beautiful songs about just kind of being

in the middle of something, feeling a little stuck, feeling your feelings going through all of it,

which I think is something we can all relate to. We get to talk about what it's like creating that

album, what her general creative processes, how being on the reality show American juniors in 2003

jump started not only her, foyer into entertainment, but her entire families.

Caitlin, I'm so excited to talk to you. You are a multifaceted artist, and so I'm very curious

to hear from you how we got to where we're at right now. And also, like, what do you, if someone

asks you what you do, what do you say?

I mean, I guess simply put, I'm a singer, songwriter, and I also act.

So I guess I do all of those things, but it's a weird existence at times because I feel like one of my

favorite songwriters right now named Maddie Diaz, I think she said this in an interview like my

job is to have feelings, which I thought was a really good way to put it because it can be confusing

to me even to answer that question. I'm like, what do I do? I have no idea.

Literally couldn't tell you what I do.

But yeah.
