Summary

I first met comedian, musician, actress and artist Kate Micucci years ago when she and Riki Lindhome performed live as Garfunkel & Oates at my first live Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend show at UCB. I've wanted to have her on the show solo to really delve into all things Kate ever since. On this episode we talked about the ways in which she's the same as she was as a kid, what she was like as a kid and her close relationship with her parents, crying at school because she missed them, being a late bloomer, her first kiss, going to three colleges, her love of sunsets, puppet making, her favorite musicals, school dances, hitchhiking and why she stopped, being poor, how she broke into commercials, meeting Riki and writing their goals on napkins (she still carries one with her to this day), sitcoms, relationships, being sheltered, swearing and so much more. We also took your questions over Twitter and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

0:55.7	last one, but that was years ago now. I know. It was a while ago. Yeah, so time to check in. Thank you
1:01.3	for having me. Thank you for coming on the show. So let's get a couple things out of the way first.
1:05.8	Okay. The listener doesn't know this, but you might realize that my house smells pretty farty right
1:13.5	now. I don't know if you can tell or not, because I made cauliflower and egg whites earlier and
1:19.2	it's pretty, pretty out of control. Now Jeff assured me that it smells like cooking farty,
1:25.8	not, and I supplied this part but farty. Yeah, it's vegetable farty, not. Ask farty. But farty.
1:32.2	Why did you walk in and go, oh, it's so farty in here. Like I didn't really think anything of it.
1:37.9	So I think you're fine. I think you're thinking it. I probably am. There's a candle, but it's meant
1:43.0	to mask the scent. But I was like, oh, that might be worse because I remember in college,
1:49.2	there was this girl that had very strong perfume. And when I would walk into the communal restroom,
1:53.7	I'd be like, oh, it smells like perfume and shit right now. Yeah, it's not helping. It was a
1:59.0	weird choice if you're broccoli-cended candle, but it's fair. But it's your day. You have those. I
2:04.5	think, I mean, I don't know if it's broccoli, but I've seen candles that are like supposed to smell bad
2:07.4	as jokes. But what a waste. Right. Yeah. Who's going to want that? Nobody's going to burn it.
2:12.5	Yankee candles worst-selling candle. Yeah. The other thing is when you came in, you pointed out
