of the work of my guest, Garfunkel, and Oates. First of all, Kate Wickey, thanks so much

for being here. Thanks for having us. Hi. Thank you for having us. The show starting on IFC and the show has a cameo in the second episode by someone I don't

want to give too much away but we can say I think we can say yes mr. John Oates mr. John Oates

and just the way you want to see him working behind the county at a porn store yeah right yeah

that's his dream role what do you want to play and he he's like, well, I've always, no. Yeah.

Yeah, it was amazing. We were nervous to ask him to do that.

Yeah, I remember it was like, uh, it's okay if you don't want to do this, but he was on

tour and he was like, I'll make it work.

It was so nice.

Yeah. He was like, great. Well, but that's, that moment for me is really what you guys are kind of about as performers,

is that there's a kind of weird excitement that comes through.

I mean, one of the things I think is so great about the work is that it's got the ease of folk

with really sort of aggressive, dirty, funny, smart lyrics, which is a really interesting thing

to do.

And it's about what you guys do as performers is so much about juxtaposition.

I mean, just even when you met each other, you realized that your physical types would lend

themselves to doing the act.

It's crazy.
