Hello and welcome to South Beach sessions. We have been using this platform in recent months

to introduce you to people who are working for Metal Arc Media now. And you know, at this

point, if you've been listening to our show that Kate Fagan has come aboard, we've made

another announcement today. Tom Habersdrow is also a part of Metal Arc Media now officially.

You will hear from him on this platform and its story and how he got here, his biographical

journey to us. And we're going to do Kate Fagan's story now with you because we're very

excited to have her. If you haven't checked out journalistically, just what she's done in

the last couple of weeks for sports illustrated, she wrote a cover story and she did a mystery

crate for us on suburb and Megan Rapinoe that's going to just elevate everything we're

doing around here. And her new book is called All the Colors came out and it's a lovely

tribute to her father. And it's coming out today. We've promoted it way too much around

here, but you should read it. It's an easy read and it will tell you more about Kate Fagan

than maybe this interview will. But what made Maddie run was also a New York Times best

seller for her. And so we're just thrilled about the work. I believe she's going to do

the best work of her career right now because she's more ready than she's ever been. She

left the ESPM because she was kind of bored by the daily minutia. And so we chronicle

her work there and what she aspires to here. And the starting place on this conversation

is a charity that she cares about because the last time that we talked about this with

her, it tied into how it is that she left the ESPM to go tend to her father at the end

of his life and repair the things in their relationship that needed some healing. So

Kate Fagan were delighted to have her aboard here. Here's part of her story though starting

with why it is she's involved with that charity.
