all over the world. We are trapped inside our homes, waiting for the hammer to fall.

What we hear from the outside world is not good.

Hospitals are starting to become overwhelmed here where I live in the United States,

in New York City, particular and even worse in some other

countries like my beloved Italy where they are ahead of us on this awful curve and the fear and trembling is stretching into all walks of life.

My purpose here isn't to extend the reach of the news, but to provide a temporary

safe haven from it. I'm doing what I can. For us to endure these nightmarish conditions, we have to have some respite too. We have to sleep, we have to exercise, we have to stay mentally healthy.

When under attack we need friends as well as enemies we need strong hearts and strong minds and so we turn to literature and to discussions of literature to help us make it through.
