We have said a lot over the last few weeks. It's kind of the big discourse around the Carl Anthony Towns question, which is, who do you blame for the disappearing act? Is it a cat? Is it the head coach? Is it Jalen Brunson? And I've always taken the side of it's a little bit of everybody. On this day, I am going to put the blame on one specific person more than others, and that person is Jalen Brunson. Jalen Brunson played a lot of hero ball last night, the ball movement, the spring of the basketball that we see when the Knicks are at their best didn't happen last night.

And so this is a problem because the Knicks beat the Bulls on Sunday because of Carl Anthony Towns.

A big part of why they came back against the Rockets was Carl Anthony Towns.

Shaq said it to him.

We played the audio on Monday where he lectured him and said,

you need to be great.

He was not allowed to be great in the second half last night.

So it's a fine line between taking what's given, meaning what the defense is giving to,

and you let natural flow of your point guard happen, versus demanding the ball.

And I feel like at some points, Carl Anthony Town needs to demand the ball.

It's not happening.

Because it's not his personality. So you need Jalen Brunson to make sure that happens. Right. You're right. So who's more at fault? Carl Anthony Towns or Jalen Brunson? Right now I'd say Jalen Brunson because we have to understand who this man is. He just doesn't have... He's not going to change. He's not going to demand the basketball. So you need a great point card. And Jaylen Brunson's a great player. I don't know sometimes if he's a great point card. I think those two things are very different. He's a great player. Is he a great point card? One of the things to be a great point card, and I watched the best of them all, play every second for almost a decade in Jason Kin. I know what a great point card, and I watch the best of them all play every second for almost a decade in Jason King.

I know what a great point card looks like, is someone who makes people around them better.

And specifically, this player needs to be made to look better because Shaq nailed it on Saturday.

They're not winning unless he plays like a star, and we know he's capable of playing

like a star.

But he has to be allowed to.

And so we talk about Mike Brown and how he's managing this team, and really the personalities

of this team.

And early on this year, it felt like the bristling was happening with Carl Lansing Town.

It felt like he was dogging him on his lack of, I don't know, physicality in the pain,

dogging him on the fact that he's always on the ground, dogging him on, like, his, just the physical nature of his play, and especially on the defensive side of the ball and there
