We weren't hip-hop. We weren't pop music. We were just like, cool. We were club kids. We're making our little beats. We didn't think it would really. So it wasn't about that. It was like, hey, man, can I make a living doing this thing? And listen, when I first moved to LA, it was still, like I said, I was still like, oh, maybe my thing will be on producing for other people. Or, you know, I didn't know how it was going to unfold. how big it would end up getting, absolutely.

So, and even now, look, these guys that have come after me, like the John Summit and like,

you know, Calvin Harris, you know, he's probably one iteration after me.

And just where they've been able to take it is

it still just blows my mind and part of me. It's just like, yeah, because it's kind of like,

those are my people. This is the sound.

Today's guest is a worldwide phenomenon.

We are talking to Cascade, the man who was the first electronic artist to DJ

throughout a Super Bowl. I'm only bringing that up because the Super Bowl was recent. First

electronic act to sell out big venues from Staples Center to the Coliseum, the seven-time Grammy nominee.

And perhaps most importantly and most personal for me, the guy who pioneered the DJ

residency in Las Vegas during the peak of my partying era, which actually leaked into a

very personal and bonding experience to my wife,

he was the star of our private raves that I used to have with my wife.

So this is an exciting moment for me.

And maybe most importantly for the show, this is a Los Angeles resident that is a transplant, if I may.
