And I go immediately to the former ambassador from Pakistan of the United States, Hussein, to sort through this latest headline that looks like things are not quite quiet yet on the Kashmir line of control. Newsweek reporting, India holds major air drill near Pakistan, near the Pakistan, according to multiple Indian news outlets. The exercise

took place nearly a month after India launched its military campaign Rice Newsweek, targeting Pakistan in their

biggest confrontation in decades following a deadly attack in Kashmir.

Mr. Ambassador, I was about to have a conversation with you that things are heading back

to normal.

They are standing back.

Now we have this air exercise along the Pakistan border.

Can you characterize both Islamabad and Delhi for us?

Things are normal to the extent that there is no firing going on.

Things are not normal in the sense that both sides are still sabber rattling. Especially

Indians have a sense of not having made their point sufficiently. They wanted to teach

Pakistan a lesson. Pakistan, I don't think, learned the lesson the Indians wanted it to learn,

which was don't support groups that support secession of Indian control parts of Kashmir

and don't support jihadi terrorists.

I don't think any of those lessons have been learned.
