In a piece largely criticizing Patel’s nomination, even The Wall Street Journal concedes he has “worked as a federal prosecutor and served in several senior national-security roles, experiences not uncommon in the background of an FBI director.” So, if he is qualified, why are Democrats and mainstream media personalities so upset?
