This week, I'm thrilled to have my dear friend and the former director of national intelligence and our former ambassador to Germany, Rick Grinnell, here with us.

Rick, welcome to the program. You forgot one of my titles. What? The presidential envoy for Kosovo and Serbia. You know that's my favorite. You have so many titles. I can't keep up with them. But I'm really excited you're here for the first time ever on Cash's Corner. You're our first guest. I couldn't think of a better friend and host than Patriot to have on our show.

Look, we're going to talk about your tenure as Director of National

Intelligence. We're going to talk about your tenure with Serbo-Cosovo relations. We're going to talk

about it in Germany, Nord Stream, and so much more. But what I want to start with is I want

the audience to know who Rick

Rinell was before the Trump administration. What were you doing? Wow, that's a good question.

Well, as you know, whenever I talk about myself or talk about life before politics or outside

of politics, I have to go to immediately to seven years ago

when I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma,

which was a devastating moment for me.

I thought I was a goner.

It was an aggressive form, stage three and a half.

And I always joke with my doctor who said, when I say, you told me it was stage three and a half. And I always joke with my doctor who said, when I say,

you told me it was stage three and a half because you really didn't want to tell me it was stage

four because you thought I would give up. But I'm a Christian. I'm a believer and I immediately

had to really go to the core of who I was and figure out, how do you beat

cancer and how do you stay really connected?

How'd you do that?

You know, it's really interesting.
