Trans people have a difficult time describing what it feels like.

One metaphor I see get thrown around a lot is like it's being born into a wet itchy sweater.

But you're born into it so this is just what you assume it's like to be in a body

and you want to take it off but you can't take off this wet sweater so you just you just

dissociate from this awful feeling you just kind of assume that's what

everybody else is doing everybody else that's how they survive is they just

ignore the human condition what it means to be in this body. That's Casey Phipps.

been transgender. But Casey didn't grow up in a place where the word transgender was well understood, or understood at all.
