Today is August 1st, the first day of the month of August and it's almost time for back to school.

Summer is coming to a close. My dad always used to tell me when I was a young school child that

once forth to July's over, summer's over. It was a very pessimistic view, but now that I'm older,

wiser, working much harder, he wasn't wrong. Labor days is the first day of winter.

Pretty much.

Anyway, no rain yet in August. No, so far August, shaping up to be better than the months of

June and July. Let's just pray and be optimists here that August and September are going to be

great weather months and it's also my birthday month. Mark your calendars, however I won't be

here when it's my birthday. It's in the latter half of the month and Grace will be back.
