saying that she wanted schools to open when she got to rewrite CDC policy to keep schools closed,

and this happened in winter of 2021. She tried to keep schools closed even longer.

The rewrite, it kills me. And I hope that people see through it.

Carol is Hillsdale College's Pulliam Fellow for the spring 2024 term.

She joins us in studio today to talk about her recent trip to Israel and what's changed in

the year since the release of Stolen Youth.

Carol, thanks so much for joining us.

Thanks so much for having me.

We have much to discuss with you today.

But before arriving here on Hillsdale's campus, you were a little bit farther away across the globe in Israel,

where he spent around a week, right, around a week in Israel. I want to talk about a number

of different angles here. I am curious, though, about expectations versus reality. What did you

think you would see an experience when you made this trip compared to what actually occurred?

I think my impression was a little bit frozen in time, but also I thought I would

see a country really shattered. I have to say, I've been not great since October 7th. I'm Jewish,

and I feel like I owe a lot to Israel. I'm American first.
