The New Hampshire Attorney General's office confirmed the identities of three of the four bodies that were found in steel barrels in Bear Brook State Park in 1985, a case that was

The first big break in the notorious cold case came in 2017, when investigators were able to use genetic genealogy to identify the killer, a con man and career criminal named Terry Rasmussen. Rasmussen died in prison in 2010, while serving his sentence for another murder conviction.
