Summary

Karissa Pukas and I have an interesting past. We first connected online back in 2011, and met in person in 2013. We filmed two videos together, one at my house in Perth and another in Sydney with Shannon, Chloe and myself (who remembers?!). All was well until it... wasn't. Something happened (tune in to find out what) and that was the end of our friendship. I blocked Karissa from everything and she unfollowed me right back. I'm a grudge holder, so I genuinely thought that was the end of that chapter for good. It wasn't until I heard from Karissa years later that we were able to reconnect and go over what happened between us; this time with a bit more maturity at our disposal. This episode goes into all of the nitty gritty details about why Karissa was mad at me, why I was mad at her and how we came to a resolution years later. We've both learnt so much over the years and came to discover that we actually have way more in common now, then we ever did before. It's a great story full of lots of life lessons, so we hope you enjoy. You can find Karissa at: http://youtube.com/karissapukas and https://www.instagram.com/karissapukas/ :)

So I don't want to spoil too much of it in this intro, but tune in. You'll hear all about it,

0:36.1

all the little details, how we went from friends to

0:39.5

like kind of enemies back to friends again and what that means for us now, what that meant

0:45.9

for us back then, why we acted the way we acted, what we learned from it, what we've taken

0:51.0

away from it and some messages we have for you guys to use in your life if you relate to our situation at all. So I hope you enjoy. If it does sound like I'm shouting a little bit in the interview, it's because I was wearing noise-canceling headphones. So I couldn't really hear myself speaking, so I think I was overcompensating. But the rest of the audio was amazing. I'm really,

1:11.0

really happy with how it turned out. So enough of me rambling. Let's get into the interview.

1:15.4

So welcome. Thank you so much for having me. Pleasure. So I'm so grateful that you shared your

platform with me. Oh, my pleasure. You're my first, like, what, remote guest?

1:25.5

I love it. Thank you. So we met, what year did we meet and how did we first come into contact?

I remember seeing your picture and it was when I lived in Lake Monora and I'll never forget

1:39.1

for whatever reason, somebody tagged me in your stuff and I scrolled and scrolled and

scrolled back in like old school Instagram days.

1:45.5

Yeah.

1:45.7

I think I sent you a message just saying like, oh, I'm huge fan of what you do.

1:49.3

I think you had like maybe 40,000 followers at the time.

1:52.3

But it was just so cool to see another person in Australia doing the same thing because it was such a small market back then.

1:59.7

For sure.

2:00.6

That's what I remember.
