Massive response to our series on the Charlestown Armid Car Robberies.

Man, what a story that was.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

That crew took some serious scores for, I don't know,

a decade or so after this crew was captured, armed robberies in the New England region plummeted.

They just really did. And again, comparing reality to Ben Affleck's movie, The Town,

there's a scene where the bank teller later, Ben Affleck's love interest in the story says

somebody had called her a tunie.

And she says, you know, like at first I thought he was saying Townie.

But it's kind of a derogatory statement that longtime townies in Charlestown called yuppies.

Basically yuppies who moved into the neighborhood, tunis, they call them, right?

Because they're a cartoon character of a actual townie.

And that's actual, you know.
