It took the jury around 22 hours of deliberations over four days to deliver a verdict in the

Karen Reid murder retrial. The jury found her not guilty of second-degree murder, manslaughter,

and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. She was found guilty of the lesser

DUI charge and sentenced to one-year probation. Outside of court, Reed supporters wearing her

favorite color, pink, cheered on when they heard the verdict.

Reed was accused of hitting her Boston police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe with her car and leaving him in the snow to die in January of 2022.

Her defense claimed the collision never happened and she was being framed by police.

After the verdict, Reed thanked her supporters.
