to killing his neighbors, chopping them up and drowning their

shitsu after they allegedly mocked him with a $1 hot dog.

62-year-old Michael Sparks was arrested last August five days after his neighbors, 79-year-old

Daniel Menard, and his 73-year-old wife, Stephanie, went missing.

New details came out last week at Spark's preliminary hearing, a fellow

inmate at West Valley Detention Center told authorities Sparks admitted to the killings recently,

saying he beat the couple with a rake, hoe, and hammer before dismembering them and hiding

the bodies in plastic bags in his bunker. And that the whole thing started over a hot dog

Mr. Menard bought for him. The inmate said Sparks felt the hot dog was a jab at him, making him feel like he was only

worth a dollar hot dog and it set him off.
