Thank you. Karen Reid's retrial began Tuesday with opening statements and witness testimony shared in the murder case of Boston police officer John O'Keefe. Hank Brennan, the special prosecutor appointed to the case,

claimed that Reed, after a night of drinking, intentionally hit her boyfriend with her car

and left him in the cold to die.

Meanwhile, defense attorney Alan Jackson painted a different picture,

alleging that O'Keefe did not die as a result of a vehicle collision and that the investigation into his death was, quote unquote, corrupted.

Witnesses called to testify included firefighter and paramedic Timothy Nuttall and Kerry Roberts, a friend of O'Keefe.

John DePetro, host of the John DePetro show and Road Patrol Live, has been following this case very closely.

He joins me now from outside the courthouse.

I know there's a lot going on up there.

You've been in the courthouse.

There's nobody I know better to assess what's going on with the case.

We've had a quick recent development.

Can you catch us up? Yes, Paul. And thank you for having me on. Hague O'Keefe, the mother of John

O'Keefe, has taken the stand. Now, this is so important. She did not testify in the first trial.
