He's the returning guest, one of my favorite guests, and he's worked in the civil defense litigation as a lawyer for over three decades. Mr. Mertati has tried nearly 100 cases to verdict in courts in over 20 counties and hence one multi-million dollar settlements as a civil attorney for plaintiffs in exactly the

2:07.1	But it was his work representing the village of Potsdam in New York in Nick Hillary's lawsuits against the village of Potsdam
2:11.8	that preceded his trial for the murder of Garrett Phillips
2:16.3	that brought Mr. Mertati to this show and to wider knowledge of the public's wider knowledge in the case against Garrett Phillips on HBO.
