My entitled Karen neighbor is constantly demanding favors out of me while also being loud and obnoxious at all hours of the night.

And I seriously hope that I never have to deal with these people ever again.

Here's what happened.

So I'm in an area of Florida that gets a lot of tourists.

However, we live in a family neighborhood and 90% of the people here are full-time residents,

with hardly any snowbirds and two schools

right in the neighborhood. So essentially, it's a normal suburb. With a golf coast 10 minutes away,

we moved into this house in 2022. We are pretty quiet people, and we know the neighbors

around us and have friendly chats in the yard, but that's about it. Basically, we like to just do

our own thing. Well, the house next to us was bought

by a couple from Maryland in February of 2003. We were happy to see the old neighbors leave,

as they were an older couple that had nothing better to do than scream at each other. So, new people

are doing stuff at the house, and when I'm in my side yard, I introduce myself to the wife.

The wife seems super chatty and basically

told me her life story. She goes on to tell me that they can't really afford this house that they

bought for $500,000, but then they told me they're going to be doing short-term renting for the next

five years just so they can try and cover the mortgage. Now, we used to live in an area that allowed

short-term rental, and we specifically moved to a home live in an area that allowed short-term rental, and we

specifically moved to a home that had no HOA or short-term rental. We hated living next door to a

house that was always a party house, and we never knew who would be there. So, I tell the wife that you

are not allowed to do short-term rental here, but she just laughs and says, my realtor told me that we can, so I'm pretty

sure we can. So not wanting an argument, I just shrug my shoulders and I wish her good luck and go back to
