An entitled Karen demanded that I give my hoodie over to her simply because the design on it was scaring her son. But when I said no, this entitled Karen lost her mind, as she literally started to grab at my hoodie while also tried to pull my hair in a fit of rage, forcing me to shut her down in a way that I don't think she'll ever forget. Here's what happened. Okay, so I'm a teenager from Australia, and so far, life's been going really well. I usually help my dad with his business and I get paid for it. With that money, I decided to buy a hoodie related to my favorite show. It took me a week to arrive and I absolutely loved it. I don't wear it too much, but it's definitely my favorite hoodie. Anyways, just a few days ago, I was at a shopping center with my mom and my sister.

My mom and sister went off to do some shopping while I stayed behind to grab food for them, and this is where the story starts. I was waiting for my order at a Mexican restaurant when I felt someone tapped me on the back. I then turn around, I see the entitled Karen of this story, whose inner 30s with her son, who looked to be about 11 years old. Now the boy looked kind of embarrassed and worried, but I couldn't tell for sure.

This Karen then started talking to me about my hoodie. She said her son was scared of it, but when I looked at him, he didn't really seem scared at all. In fact, he looked fine. So I responded by saying, okay, sure, I'll take it off, but she didn't just want me to remove it. She actually asked me to give it to her because her husband is a businessman,

1:12.8

which for some reason, she me to give it to her

1:10.9

because her husband is a businessman, which for some reason she thought made her entitled to my hoodie. Well, I looked at her and I just told her straight up, no. And that's when she started acting like I owed her the world. Now, for context, I paid $130 for the hoodie, which is almost the same amount my dad pays me for helping out with this business each week. I was getting a bit frustrated, especially

1:30.1

since people were starting to know it. for the hoodie, which is almost the same amount my dad pays me for helping out with this business

each week. I was getting a bit frustrated, especially since people were starting to notice what

1:31.9

was happening, and things started getting really awkward. She then started getting verbally

1:35.9

awful towards me, calling me a racist and saying stuff about my height and my glasses. She even

1:40.7

tried to physically grab my hair while I was getting my food. And that's when I just really started to lose it. Now, I don't like being rude to strangers, so I try to stay humble and respectful. But this woman made me really uncomfortable. So instead of calmly telling her to stop, I made the mistake of saying some things that I really do regret. And that just set her off even more. And she started trying to grab my hoodie again. At this point, security had to get involved, and honestly, it was so insane. So the moral of the story is that just because your husband owns something doesn't mean you're automatically entitled to everything around you, because this Karen was incredibly entitled. Oh man, I've run into people like this before, where they literally try to police what people can and can't wear instead of turning away and looking the opposite direction. And worst of all, she was trying to use her son as the reason why she didn't like the hoodie. It's like, dude, what are you doing? That is so weird. So yeah, she was completely out of line for trying to make you, like, change your hoodie. And in my opinion, I think you did the right thing by telling her off. Even though you might have said some stuff that was probably very mean. I think at the end of the day, she got the picture that you are not to be messed with. And that is way better than her trying to boss you around about something that you literally should not have to change. If you like Am I the Jerk, you're probably going to love Am I the Genius. 2:58.1

years running, literally just despite our parents. And it's honestly one of many reasons why I decided

3:03.3

to go no contact with her. Here's what happened. Okay, to start things out, my sister was evicted from the family property in late 2003. That year and the year after that, she kept my nephews away during my birthday just because she wanted to spite our parents. And just to be clear, my birthday is in May. So it was long before she got her eviction notice. For my birthday that year, we were preparing to have lots of pizzas and other stuff for my

3:24.5

nephews to enjoy. And then we found out last minute that my sister was taking them elsewhere

3:28.8

that day. A few weeks earlier, my sister and mother got into a fight, and I can't remember what it was

3:33.4

about, but it might have been because my sister was taking advantage of me by not paying her

3:37.7

half of the power bills that we shared. My mother fought with her about that several times. My sister still owes me $800 in unpaid power bills, and if you look at my other

3:45.7

posts about my sister, you can see what kind of terrible person she is. So it's no surprise that she's

3:50.5

a creature of spite. It was only days before my 2003 birthday that we found out that my sister was

3:55.8

taking her kids out. She also took them to a certain

3:58.4

popular family fun restaurant with games for both kids and adults. And she did this just so they would

4:03.3

have much more fun on that day than hanging out with me. My birthday then ended up awkwardly just being
