An entitled Karen demands a special line just for herself at the grocery store,

claiming that she deserves special treatment, and that if we don't help her,

Here's what happened.

So this happened earlier this week.

And honestly, we just got extremely slammed by customers.

As luck would have it, I was the only management in the store that could run the service desk

and the register at the same time.

Our store manager had a family emergency and needed to leave early.

The assistant store manager was also off that day,

and my friend and manager had a doctor's appointment.

I made the decision to close the service desk,

due to the fact that my three cashiers were not able to keep up with a constant flow of customers.

I then pulled the one bagger that is cross-trained to a register.

I called the two daytime stock people to help bag,

plus our floral person and our general merchandise person to also help bag.

The other two baggers were tag-teaming on bagging and keeping carts inside.

So in total, I had five registers open and a bagger and a runner for every lane.

For two solid hours, at no point did we have less than five people waiting at each checkout.

In that time, we not only met, but exceeded our sales goal for the whole day,
