Summary

The Kansas City Chiefs are heating up in a big way as Patrick Mahomes dominated the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football. With a full complement of weapons at their disposal, the Chiefs look like the old version of themselves and that should have the NFL worried. In the AFC West, the Denver Broncos still lead over the Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, but Denver is set to miss Patrick Surtain for 4-6 weeks and it could be enough to change the standings. The Chiefs play the Buffalo Bills next and the Bills are looking up in their division as well as Drake Maye and the New England Patriots continue to dominate an easy schedule. Finally, in the NFC, the West with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks remains the best division in football and the NFC North features the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions battling for the top.

And it wasn't even all great for the Chiefs either, but they still did the job and looked like the much better team. Yeah, it's amazing what happens when Patrick Mahomes's weapons can all be fully healthy. And there's sort of this buildup effect where like Rice and Worthier are back. And so all of a sudden, it's easier for Travis Kelsey to do a little bit more damage because all of a sudden not all the attention is on him and it it sort of cascades and builds on itself in a way that feels a little bit unfair. Yeah. And then it builds into the run game as well, 148 yards on the ground, 4.9 yards per carry, Pacheco, Kareem Hunt did their thing on the ground. They don't even have to use the talented rookie Breschard Smith all that much.
