And an animal called a kangaroo.

Kangaroos are good at jumping and can hop very fast.

When they hop, they make a bouncing sound like this.

It was Christmas Eve and Thomas was pulling passenger coaches in the Australian outback.

Christmas was Thomas' favourite time of year.

That evening, Thomas was resting when Shane, the big strong tender engine backed into the shed.
