Hey, you guys, today's episode of Rob's observations, we are jumping headfirst into a future

Marvel villain, superstar, Big Bad that you cannot avoid because he has been cast.

They are putting him in a featured role in the third Ant Man film, which is, I believe,

it's called Quantum Mania. He is going to be played by one of the hottest actors in Hollywood.

So this is the perfect day to combine my Bring On the Bad Guys obsession that began with our Dr. Doom episode a while back

and go pile drive straight into Kang the Conqueror, Kang the Conqueror, one of my all-time

favorite villains, Marvel DC anywhere. He is as complicated a villain as you will find in either Marvel or the DC

universe or image comics or anywhere else you're going to look. He is an amazing, fantastic visual.

He is powerful. He is ruthless and he has obviously a killer, killer name in Kang the Conqueror.

The reason we are going to dwell so much on King the Conqueror today is because there's a lot

to unpack. I am going to tell you what I believe is the kind of the Pratt falls, the dangers

of this character, as well as the strengths

and why he has always been one of my most favorite characters I will buy anything Kang the Conqueror

appears in. And in fact, one of my favorite Kang the Conqueror appearances is in a novel written by David

Michelinie who did a multi-year run on the Avengers acclaimed critical run on Iron Man and

then became the bridge of the 80s to the 90s with his amazing Spider-Man run that included Todd McFarland,

Eric Larson, Mark Bagley, and gave you venom, carnage, and all of these amazing stories that you

completely dig and love. But David really hit hard in the late 70s, early 80s, and he was given one of these novels.

When Marvel was doing these Bantam trade novels

that were everywhere in bookstores,

when bookstores were much more commonplace
