I'm joined today by our DC columnist Eddie Scary who graciously agreed to indulge kind of a project I had about a month ago. I reached out to Eddie asking if he would be willing to read a book by a leftist author or politician and then take a podcast about it. And so since this was a month ago,

we figured what better book than the Democratic Party's

new presidential nominee, Kamala Harris's,

the truth's behold.

Eddie, thanks for doing this, and how are you doing? I'm doing well and of course

I there's nowhere else I'd rather be. So there's a whole bunch of different topics we can discuss and get into but I wanted to start by asking

what are your perceptions of Kama Harris now

after you read the book versus before?

And how did that change?

Well, you know, these books are, they're all the same. So, and by all the same, I mean, it's a campaign book.

They're basically meant to you know create a

Misologize the whoever it is that's running almost always for president is when these books come out both Republican and

Democrat.

It's always, you know, my humble beginnings,

and then this is what got me interested in public service.

These were my role models.

And then, of course, you get my role models. And then of course you get into what their actual experience in their adult careers,

their public life to the extent that they've been elected to office, lower office than president.

And you know, on and on.

So they're all the same.
