Vice President Camilla Harris has slammed the Florida governor as a racist over his state social studies curriculum, with Democrats and Republicans alike, happy to pile on. Most people

would fold and move on. Curiously, DeSantis has doubled down on his curriculum. Is there

something more here than meets the eye? Also, a recent case has reopened the debate. Can

Catholic schools remove teachers and students over public differences on church teaching, and should they?

And the debate over term limits for our octogenarian public servants is getting old.

And we have another good show ready for us today. And we're going to start with the man that everyone wants to attack right now, Governor DeSantis, running for president here. He's become kind of a

popular man to target. And the latest targets have been specifically over a social studies curriculum that he's developed,

uh, that Kamala Harris, vice president has, has really taken time out of her schedule to attack him on.

And I think it's worth kind of going over at this point because some people may have heard of it.

Um, this phrase that's slaves somehow benefited from slavery is, is the mainstream smear.

Both Republicans have used it and Democrats have used it.

Is there truth to this statement?

So the Florida State Board of Education does have new standards.

And as part of Governor Ron DeSantis's attempt to revamp the state education K-12 and really part of his battle against CRT and wokeism in the schools, they came out with this new 216-page document with the 2023 standards in social studies.
