| 1:07.1 | Few of any are doing more for Ole Miss in the name, image, and likeness space than our friends at roofing with me of course is Cam Franklin star old miss defensive lineman cam it's Washington State Week before we get into all the ball it's been a minute man the last time I well I talked to you in press conferences and stuff but the last time really there was just me and Cam sitting here talking to each other we're on the let on the sideline of Lake Comeront when he was about to make a decision whether to pick Ole Miss or Auburn. And now you're just starting for an Ole Miss team that's 5 and 0 number four in the country. How are you today, my friend? I'm good, man. You're very blessed, you know, thankful, you know, for God, for putting me in this position. |
| 2:04.5 | With this, it says, individual success and teams that we're having so far. You know, we're just trying to continue that, you know, week by week. Cam, it's been a minute, man, since we've really got to talk about all, like, your whole path to get here to Ole Miss, man. I want to get into Washington State. I want to get into the 5-0 start, the defensive perspective of Trinidad Chamblis. |
| 2:09.7 | But starting, first of all, being that number one prospect in Mississippi just a couple of years ago and getting to this place now where you're in every down, every snap starter for an SEC contender, |
| 2:17.1 | a national championship contender, do you ever kind of take a second and go, man, when I was thinking about where to go, this is what I saw, right? You're living that dream now. That's got to be kind of pretty surreal for you. Oh, yeah. It was division, you know, since high school, you know what I'm saying? Late Carmen days, like, you know, it was stressful. process not knowing saying not knowing where I was going to go, but, you know, I'm glad I made the right decision. You know, stay home, stay playing for the state. And, you know, I'm just bliss. Well, it's interesting, too, because back then Pete Golding was such a big part of why you ended up at Ole Miss because of his plan for you, what he saw in you. What was kind of his initial conversations with you and how has y'all's relationship grown now that he's your defensive coordinator and every down play caller? I know Pete, he's a great, he's a great dude, first off, and then he's a great coach, you know, like the plan, everything that he, you know, like, told me, but pretty much sold me, you know, how the recruitment goal, like everything. He tried to sell me. Like, it was really real, like the whole vision and the whole process, like he walked me, not only him, but him and joiner. You know, they set the layout and everything that they said was going to happen playing that so far. For you, what was the initial, like, what did you know you had to do to get to this place, right? Once you commit, once you sign, go through the developmental year where you play in seven games, but to now be this player, right, an all-e caliber player and ascending player, what were the steps that they laid out for you that said, hey, man, this is where you got to improve. I'm sure it was adding some weight, some other things too. But really, how did you get to this place where now you can have the success you're now having? I get credit, you know, to the coach, to Coach Joyner, first off, because, you know, he let me kind of find my way. You know, he didn't press on me too bad. You know, he coached me, you know, at a high level, but I feel like he see, he's seen the bigger picture. He's seen what I could be who I, you know what I'm saying? I still haven't tapped into my highest potential. So week by week, you know, I got to get credit to the guys that were here before |
| 4:14.4 | because they have a lot to do with the player that I am today. Just watching those guys be great |
| 4:19.6 | and be dominant up front, you know, allowing me to show, basically they showed me what it looks |
