What if I told you that you can make money off of all of your Taylor Swift knowledge?

This is a really finance bro-y platform, but I wanted to explain it to you in simple girly terms.

This might look like a bunch of math and random football garb, but just give me a second.

I know the Girl Boss era was pronounced dead a long time ago, even before Lindy West's memoir came along and allegedly killed off millennial feminism.

But maybe that is why the news missed me late last year, that there is a new youngest self-made female billionaire on the books.

That late stage capitalist crown was previously worn by Taylor Swift.

Not anymore.

30-year-old Luana Lopez-Lora now holds the title, and she is the co-founder and COO of Kalshi,

America's first and largest federally regulated prediction market that's definitely not gambling.

You're merely buying and trading positions on future real-world events, like which team will win the NBA finals,

or whether Taylor Swift will say the word wedding in her next late-night appearance.

It's not betting, you see, it's investing.

And the evidence of how easy it is are all the women getting a piece of the action.

Here's Lopez-Lara on a recent podcast interview.

But we actually, I think, have like a lot of women in the platform. It's very intuitive to get started.

And I think that it's very transparent and safe. And I think that women appreciate that.

And I think we have a lot of markets that women are excited about and like trading as well.

So compared to other folks in similar industries, we're way higher percentage.

But I think men are still over 50%.

Speaking to the independent newspaper last month, 25-year-old Evelyn Parker, who's this tech entrepreneur and influencer, said Lopez Laura is inspiring to her.

And so is getting more girlies in on prediction markets. I want to show women, look, we have the edge.
