This is Indiana running back, Kalyn Black. For a day three pick, he's really, really easy to trust. You can get him going on pretty much every single way. You can go up the middle. You can take him to the outside. He's got a compact frame to him, 5, 9, 208 panels. He finishes really hard. He's got a little bit of wiggle out in the open space. You'll see spin move for a touchdown on occasion. I thought one of the best past protectors out there so typically most day three running backs boom bust variety i think kaelin black right down the middle this running back class uh there's a lot to be desired you know and i think when we go down the board and we search and search through this running back list and by the way we have videos and all of them here on the channel i even try to pick out specific roles and specific skills that each of these guys have. And for Caleb Black, I can envision him making a roster. And it's due to his past protection. I think there is a chance that he becomes the best past protecting running back in this class. And we just saw, you know, LeQuint Allen go and the seventh round last year and

earned that role for the Jackson with Jaguars. Now granted, he was like the 24th running back

selected last year. There won't be 24 this year. But Kaelin Black might be a day three selection,

round four, round five. But based on the number of visits that he has, which is 10 across the league,

he wasn't a combine invite, but I think that there's a lot of interest to figure out, hey, can we get this guy in the team? What does he do well? And it's very obvious to me that he is going to play a role on an NFL squad. He only has four receptions in back-to-back seasons just because, you know, the RPO style of the Indiana offense. And obviously, you got Fernando Mendoza. You want to throw the ball downfield a little bit. So I think that's what's probably catching people by surprise is that he's actually so good in past protection because you think he's not even out there. He was out there a lot on past protection and really settled in there nicely. Now, he is like a little bit small, like in just turns with how tall he is. So I think that will be a small potential weakness. But I do think that he has a chance to be a third down pass protector type out there. I think that he's more of an early down compliment that you can kind of trust like the there's been some Blake quorum types that go ahead of this. Like he's a miniature version of Kyron Williams, if we're going to play that. I think that there's a little bit less creativity than we see with Blake Corum in Kyron Williams to me. But there's a reason why the Indiana staff brought him over from James Madison into Indiana. And then this last year had over a thousand yards rushing 10 touchdowns too. So he's he's a little bit small.

He's pound for pound big, but he's just, he's just not, there's not very many pounds and inches on it. I would kind of say he's short. I mean, he definitely has some muscle to him. Let's dig, believe the surface here. Okay. So 5-9-211, as you said, 4-4-5-40 with a 15-3-10-yard split, jumps in the 80th percentile.

So I think he has some... was here. Okay. So 59 to 11, as you said, 4, 4, 540 with a 153, 10 yards split,

jumps in the 80th percentile. So I think he has some straight line explosion,

but then he did test with a fifth percentile shuttle. And that pops up when you watch

him and it fits his rushing profile here as well. I mean, he has 62 yard run against Oregon.

It was a duo block up front. He gets clean to really the third level. And he makes Dylan Theeman miss by taking a wrong angle. He also breaks two ankle tackles. Did the same thing against Illinois. But because of maybe his lack of pure blazing speed, every single run base, he got hawked down if it was

beyond 30 yards. Now, I think he can be an adequate runner if there's good blocking from tackle

to tackle and that can create some explosives just because again, of the explosiveness that he does

have. But I would not call him, you know, a nifty runner. He's more of a get north south. He gets upfield and he picks up the yards that are blocked for him. But again, that can be just enough to earn your place as one of the three active running backs on an NFL field. Yeah, I think we see this the same way. It's definitely a grinder type. And I just think there's a cap to like his elusiveness and

fluidity kind of like putting moves together at times. But in this class, like yeah, can we say that 12

times? No, I know. Like we did our running back rankings. I think I ended up with Kaelin Black as my

seventh running back in this class despite him having some major flaws and some major positives.
