Summary

It's getting hot in here, so plant some carrot seeds.  I am getting so hot, I'm gonna plant some carrot seeeeds.  There's a song about planting carrot seeds in this episode and those are not the lyrics.  We don't do parodies.  We do music for kids and that grown ups dig too.  We do music empowerment through play.  We jam out, you jam along. The Echo Song in today's show, A Carrot Seed was inspired by my cousins' farm Soul Fire Farm in Upstate NY.  Their farm sows veg and justice in equal measure and is definitely worth getting to know.  To Do List: Sing along with this fun song for kids, Plant a carrot, Check out Soul Fire Farm.  ✪ This Finish The Pattern game explores the music concept of timbre.  Timbre is just a fancy way of saying the way a sound sounds.  A guitar and a piano playing middle C play the same notes but have very different timbres.  I think trying to find words to describe timbres makes for a fun vocab game that also nurtures a sense of music appreciation so stay tuned for the bonus round where we do just that! ✪ And since we're big fans of recycling, we recycle those patterns to play a game called Jam Along.  If you're having fun and feeling empowered to be part of the band then you are doing it right! ✪ We hope you enjoy our music and games for preschoolers, kindergarteners and early elementary age kids!  It's like a music lesson for kids you can do at the beach, at the pool or at the lakeside glampsite.
