I never in my life thought I would ever actually go to K-Con.

Oh really?

Me neither.

I didn't even know.

I didn't even though it was a thing.

This is me with my friends, Sarah and Randy.

We all grew up in Korea Town in Los Angeles and considered the neighborhood home.

And right now, we are on our way to the convention center in downtown L.A.

to visit K-Con, an annual convention centered around K-pop.

The event started in Southern California 10 years ago,

and it's become the biggest fan event

for K-pop and Korean culture in the U.S., which is why I felt like we had to go.

So we're all in Sarah's car, and as I look down at my outfit, which is this white t-shirt

with black, flowy pants.

I started feeling like I'm severely underdressed.
