KF Show Summary: Just a year after debuting, the Dukes was now so popular that it was the launch point for spinoff series. about a Texas Ranger named Jude Emery who "cut it a little different" but could "still cut it!" Jude came to Hazzard to arrest hijacker Snake Harmon complete with a non functional gun, a guitar that was really a suitcase, and a Korean War surplus transport vehicle that runs so poorly that Jude keeps a horse saddle in the back just in case. This is another example of the Dukes of Hazzard debuting a fantastic idea that would later go on to be reality elsewhere (I'm looking at you, Chuck Norris). This is quite possibly the *coolest* episode of the Dukes ever made! Some episodes are bigger on stunts and some are shorter on shorts, but none are as cool and as fun. Also, Dick York from Bewitched is in here as temporary Sheriff Grady Bird (because James Best was on strike), and actor Sam Melville makes his first appearance as a bad-guy-of-the-week (he'll be back in two more episodes). Rating: 10 Corndogs!
