Summary

We are kicking off the Christmas season with a 3-week long Holiday Trifecta! This week we'll re-air our 2019 review of "A Christmas Story," the top choice of our man Corndog for Christmas Americana. Next week we'll review the new "A Christmas Story Christmas" sequel movie, and the week after that will be a full run down of the one and only Dukes of Hazzard Christmas epidote: The Great Santa Clause Chase!

Presented with Holley! We're happy to let you know that Holley is doing another amazing engine giveaway but you only have until Dec 5, 2022 to get signed up for it! This time it's the latest and greatest LT motor filled with some of the best parts money can buy, including a forged rotating assembly that brings displacement to 427 cubic inches, Mast Motorsports Black Label cylinder heads, a custom ground camshaft, and as many Holley parts as we could throw at it. All of this will be controlled by a Holley Terminator X EFI system, making it capable of up to 700 horsepower. https://www.holley.com/win/ltenginesweepstakes/

Movie Notes: If there was one movie to review that best summed up the mind of kid-dom at Christmas it definitely has to be A Christmas Story! The tale of Ralphie Parker and his desire for a Red Ryder BB gun is ingrained in Americana, thanks in part to the 24-hour marathon on the Turner Broadcast networks beginning in the late 1990's. It's set in the late 1930's and is laid over with Jean Shephard's voice telling the tale of his youth. From fighting bullies with green teeth, to being tricked into radio commercials for Ovaltine, to his old man's desire for a MAJOR AWARD, this movie has it all and never gets old. There are even old cars, a tongue stuck to a frozen pole, and a duck that gets his head cut off.  PERFECT 10 LITTLE DEBBIE CHRISTMAS TREE RATING.
