0:44.8 | Yeah, so it was a really interesting study. They estimated that most automakers lose |
0:50.5 | about $6,000 on every EV they sell effectively for $50,000. |
0:56.4 | So that is quite a loss as the industry is trying to move toward more EVs. |
1:02.3 | Obviously it is an average and they clarified that it was most |
1:06.6 | automaker so it's not speaking for everyone but that is it's very significant given given |

1:15.8 | it's sustainable for these automakers. One of the things that stood out to me is that |
1:20.8 | apparently lots of consumers intend to consider an EV as their next vehicle |
1:26.0 | about 40% if I remember right from the study. |
1:29.0 | But right now, not all that many are making the migration to actually making that purchase. |
1:35.0 | Why is that and what are consumers looking for before they make the jump? |
1:40.0 | They have some thresholds that they want to be met before they make this purchase and most of these thresholds would put owning an EV, you know more similar to owning a gas-powered vehicle. |
1:51.0 | So they want 20 minute charging times. That's still longer than it |
1:54.4 | takes to fill up a tank of gas, but better than some of the times we are seeing |
