I'm Sadata Sese, an assistant commissioner of podcasts for BBC Sounds.

I pull a lot of levers to support a diverse range of podcasts on all sorts of subjects,

relationships, identity, comedy, even one that mixes poetry, music and inner city life.

So one day I'll be helping host develop their ideas, the next fact-checking, a feature,

and the next looking at how a podcast connects with its audience, and maybe that's you.

I'm Rick Edwards, and this to the show. I've spent the last hour or so combing through my old tweets,

and I'm delighted to report that I haven't described any of our panelists as neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopaths,

which is a relief, given I'm about to spend the next hour working very closely with them.

And it is a lovely panel today, a high-quality panel,

a panel that would delight the people who wish there were more straight white middle-aged men in the media.

Honestly, it's like the 70s in the studio today.

There's tons of us, including no less than three former fighting talk champion of champions.

Yet, the bookie's favourite is someone I work with every day and a lady.
