Fights are back after six, eight weeks.

How long was it?

It was a long time.

It felt like an eternity.

But we have fights on again.

And honestly, mixed bag, because there was a lot of stuff that was just really silly happening this week, going into this paramount deal.

But on the plus side, the main event, which was kind of a laughing stock when it was signed, turned out to be a bit of a banger. I really was impressed by this. Not, like, there are types of impressed, I think, because I'm a guy who's like, oh, these are the exes and O's of fighting. I think people expect me to be like, well, this was sloppy, this was bad. But there was a lot about this fight that did impress me, even though it was a bit of a sloppy mess. There were a couple of other cool fights on the card. There was some shite, because there always is. But it was off to a bad start because we just

come over to Paramount from ESPN. So the UFC has booked three good events and is then going

to return to just absolute rubbish at the apex.

But the, was it the first fighter who weighed in? Cameron Smotherman, who I believe was on the first

fight of the card. Wade in, walked off the scale. As he's walking, he just faceplants into the floor.

Which, if you're familiar with MMA,

long-term problem. People be collapsing on the scale all the time. Very rarely do they walk

off the scale like, no, no, guys, I'm fine, I've got it, and then just go bang straight into

the floor. But it was the first part of this new broadcasting deal. They were showing the

weigh-ins and this lad just, yeah, it was bad.

And the crazy thing is, they cancelled the fight, which was good.

But you'll remember six months ago?

Was it, or it might have been August, 2025, Ryan Ortega passed out apparently for half an hour.
