How do you plan on judging him this season? What do you plan on looking for in regards to improvement in his passing game?

This is simple. His numbers have to go up, but his numbers have to go up outside of the red zone. And this is where I'm glad I've got my laptop nearby, because I've already done the research on this. And I'm basically going to recite numbers to you about what I think is going to happen,

although now the stupid page isn't loading where I have the information. That's embarrassing.

Here's the skinny of it, John. Let's give some props to Luke Getsy. Because the number one

quarterback in terms of red zone completion rate and red zone touchdown rate last year and the national football league was Justin Fields.

Did you know that?

I did not know that.

I'm learning some new right now.

Completed two thirds of his passes in the red zone.

22 of 33 passes completed in the red zone.

12 of those 22 completely, I don't even need my stupid computer for this, John.

12 of those 22 completions were touchdowns.

It wasn't because Justin Fields dropped back in the pocket and scanned the field and made

the correct read out of two or three reads.

He was schemed up and and it worked out great.

He leaned on his tight ends.

He leaned on his running backs.

Those guys had about half of the 33 targets,

which is kind of a problem for DJ Moore when you think about it.

But they did a good job of putting Justin in situations where he could throw a touchdown.

And that's something that it's easy to build on because if they can continue to scheme up outside

of the red zone, then hopefully he'll be better.
