I'm doing fine, Zach.

I've been missing Supreme Court weekly news and cases, but that itch is about to get scratched.

Well, luckily for you, we're back to scratch it for you here.

G.C., what's the latest SCOTUS news?

All right.

So, of course, the justices are back, and Justice Katanji Brown Jackson has taken her seat as the newest justice.

Additionally, we had former President Trump file an emergency request that the justices reinstate a district court order

appointing a special master to review the documents taken from his home at Mar-a-Lago.

And finally, the Onion, a satirical newspaper, filed an amicus brief supporting a petition

for Cursarari in a case about a man who was arrested for publishing a Facebook post that

satirized his local police department.

The Onion's brief does an excellent job mixing satire and serious legal argument.

Well worth the read, the case is Novak v. City of Parma.

You know, it's a bold move to file a satirical brief with a court, but I think the lawyers in this case managed to pull it off.

I think they did.
