Summary

In this episode, we sit down with Brian Chappell, the founder of Justice for Punters, to discuss the UK government's recently launched white paper titled "High Stakes Gambling Reform for the Digital Age." The white paper aims to reform gambling laws in the UK to provide better protections for vulnerable people, regulate online gambling, and introduce new affordability checks for players. However, there are concerns that the proposed measures could subject bettors' rights to government overreach. Brian Chappell, a veteran campaigner for fair and transparent treatment of punters, shares his insights on the white paper and the impact it could have on the industry. He also talks about his experience helping punters resolve disputes with gambling firms and his new self-help guides for punters seeking to pursue a claim against a bookie. Tune in to hear Brian's thoughts on the future of gambling in the UK and the importance of informed choice when it comes to gambling.
