It's all crawlers all the time as a kid. I moved from the city to a ranch at a young age maybe five or six and I moved back to the city at 14

We didn't have any animals like a normal farm. It was an orange orchard, but with a California drought my grandpa who owned the

ranch had to tear them out because water was too expensive. After that, I know it's a lot of

odd things. I've been sitting on my swing set around sunset and would see these white things running

around the fields in all fours, occasionally appearing in the brown and dyeing brush.

It happened the most right after the orange trees got torn out, lasted like a month of seeing these weird animals nearly every day.

We had coyotes in the area, but I had a big pit bull that they didn't come near,

and my neighbor had this large white and brown dog that scared them off.

His owner lived on the property a few fields away and we never really met them.

But eventually, these crawlers started to notice me.

I was never afraid. We just watch each other for a while.

During this time my mother was retaking college and my dad was helping my grandpa around the

ranch since he was old, so I was alone a lot with my dog inside of our fence.

He wasn't smart, just looked scary.

He would growl back and bark, but they never seemed to notice him.

They would just stare at me, a few hundred yards away.

Their head just peeking out of the brush and I would be sitting in my swing set on the hard pan.

We would just watch each other for like 30 minutes before they ran off.

The feels reached the roads and sometimes while we were driving

and we look out the window and see them running in the brush just out of sight, keeping pace with the car

until the field ended. My parents never noticed. Started talking to them after a while. I didn't have
