It's now time for just the terror with Nick Guerra. Record scratch moment.

There are moments in our lives that only the ones around us, remember. I don't remember

too much from my early childhood, so I'm always surprised to find out anything that happened

to me. When I was 13, found out something crazy and I think it

explains why I blocked out the memory in the first place. My mom and dad threw a

little party one day. They had invited our former neighbors. They still lived in the block of flats

we lived in until I was five years old. As the party extended into late night, I'd been

sent to bed. But since I could still hear everyone talking, I decided to just eavesdrop on the ongoing party.

After all, they were adults, and typically they watched what they said around kids.

For a bit, nothing interesting was being talked about.

I was about to call it a night when one of the neighbors said, hey do you remember

when your son the exact same things your son did.

Hearing this creeped me out.

I had no recollection of any of this.

So the next day I asked my mom.

Her first reaction was, you don't remember? Then she told me all about the weird stuff that used to happen.

Footsteps, up and down the hall, things going missing. She said the final thing to happen was when she was listening to a record one day.

It started to slow down like someone was holding a finger gently on the platter till it finally came to a stop.

My mom said she snapped at this point and shouted,

Will you leave us alone? As soon as she said this, the record went straight back to playing normally,

and we never experienced anything again. Man, part of me wishes I could remember that stuff. Birthday Balloon.

My roommate Peter had a pretty big party for his 30th birthday.
