the group in the woods. This happened in 2013. I had some friends that were attending Morehead University in

Kentucky. I'd hang with them in the evenings after class. One night we got the bright idea to go for a short hike.

There was a trail down by a nearby river that seemed perfect.

We hopped in the car and drove to the trail.

The trail was so accessible it had a parking lot.

We parked and headed off into the woods with flashlights.

After about a half hour into the hike,

we saw flashlights coming in the other direction. No voices, just flashlights.

We get a little closer to the source of the flashlights. We see a few people coming

quietly towards us.

We just assumed that they were night hiking like us.

Soon, a few people turned into 20, then 40.

Then it seemed like 200 people were shuffling through the woods in the middle of the night.

And not just 200 people from the same peer group, all ages were present.

Kids, teenagers, adults, and elderly people.

Just hundreds of random various people marching through the middle of the nowhere in a massive

straggling line in the middle of the night.

There were some people wearing blankets as if they were shaws.

It just looked like they were being herded somewhere.

None of them said a word to us.

The fact that they had these school-age kids out there in the dark set my danger alarms off.
