of us no matter our political stripe no matter our point of view no matter where we came from

where we're going none of us forget what happened that day the sacrifices that were made the

criminal terror that was imposed upon this country the ultimate sucker punch the failures of

intelligence that we can't repeat again we need to remember for as long as America is alive and

vibrant that 9-11 is a day not only of infamy but of solemn recognition that America cannot allow

tyrants cannot allow terrorists cannot allow hatred to knock it off its mantle and it is also a

reminder that America even when it's hit hard has always had the resilience to come back to fight

back to be a shining beacon even when we've been sucker punched or hit hard Americans get off

the ground and in those moments the best part of those moments is we don't do an us and them

where are we Americans came together and it's almost hard given all the divisiveness we've

experienced over the last decade to go back and remember those moments when people would

honk their horns and put flags on the back of the car and say thank you to any officer or

firefighter or first responder or soldier or soldiers family that they met but we were a very

united country under president George W. Bush in the days and weeks and months and years after

we've lost some of that unity oftentimes over petty political differences but today's a day to

remember that we can't lose that unity long term we need to find the we in America again we need

to stop seeing everybody as our enemy if they don't agree on just one or two issues with us

one of the great things that America brought to us was the ability to disagree and still go on

now there is a generation particularly on the left that believes if you don't believe everything
