Our inability and unwillingness to quit or take less or to be quiet about the inequities that we face comes from all of those players that came before that's the DNA that's the

fabric that's why we're here fighting the way that we are so you know I know they

won't see the benefits of it I'll barely see the benefits of it. I'll barely see the benefits of it. But I hope everybody takes pride in knowing

that they were a huge part in, you know, hopefully seismically shifting soccer in the country

for women.

was Megan Rapino, our friend of the pod. That's right. That was from King 5 sports in Seattle and Megan was putting the bow on the big news that the U.S. women's national team has reached pay equality.

So champagne popping, right?

That's amazing.

It's amazing.

The movie pop champagne for like the bare minimum which is equal pay.

Like we're ignoring the fact that like they should

probably be paid more right right right I guess we should pop the champagne it was a

historic CBA agreement the men's national team and the women's national team came together.

They agreed to pull the FIFA prize money, which was a big hurdle.

The settlement that came out, you know, over a month ago now, included back pay.

So like, there's a lot of good things to be popping champagne bottles over, right?

Yes.

And so yeah, to that original question, I think absolutely we pop champagne because, I mean, this could be rolled back in 50 years for all we know so we should celebrate we should celebrate while we can celebrate here but you and I wanted to take a couple minutes before we tell the listeners what's on the show today to talk about the US Women's National Team because I saw this one tweet Jess and it was essentially like,
