All right, we're here with Mark VZ, and he is a retired FBI agent.

He has worked in corporate investigations, currently works for the Walker County Sheriff's Office, and has done a little bit of everything currently a podcast host and producer

Mark and I met at CrimeCon his wife brought him over to me and said I need him to finally retire.

He likes this podcasting thing.

So Mark, we're thrilled to have you on True Crime Cast and talk a little bit about your career.

Thank you very much. It's a pleasure to be here and we did have fun at CrimeCon.

That was my first one that I had been to. And it was a lot of fun and thank you for

meeting me there and invited me on your show. Absolutely, yeah, it was a lot. There's a lot going on there. It's a, I don't know, great group of people had great interactions. Hope to, hope to go again. Hopefully, we'll, we'll see you there as well. But you are going to be retiring for the third time soon so why don't you tell us a

little bit about those those three separate yet intertwined careers that you've that

you've led in law enforcement.

Sure so I was an FBI agent for 25 years.

I

started out in the New Orleans division where I cut my teeth on white collar crime and public corruption,

which is an easy thing to do in New Orleans.

We were there for seven years and then from there to headquarters. I was a supervisor in a white color crime section.

And then over to our Washington field office where I had a white collar squad and then an international drug squad for a while. From there out to Omaha as

the assistant special agent in charge that's the number two executive for the

division. We cover both states of Iowa and Nebraska.

And then from there I went to Abu Dhabi
