And on this episode, we are going to talk about Todd and Julie Crissly.

Todd and Julie Crisley became household names with their hit reality show,

Chrisley knows best, which aired from 2014 to 2023. The show showcased their lavish lifestyle

and close-knit family dynamics, capturing the attention of millions.

Todd Crisley, a self-made multimillionaire from Georgia, met Julie Hughes in the mid-1990s.

They married on May 25, 1996, while Julie was nine months pregnant with their first child Chase. This was Todd's second

marriage as he had been previously married to his high school sweetheart with whom he had two

children. Now, his second wife, she's got a lot to say about him, too.

But in 2014, the Crisley's debuted their reality show, Chrisley knows best, on the USA Network.

The show offered viewers a glimpse into their lavish lifestyle and family dynamics.

Now, it was filmed initially in Atlanta and later in Nashville,

and the show became a hit, running for 10 seasons and spawning a few spinoff shows. Now, this show

portrayed Todd as a controlling yet caring patriarch, often clashing with his children over their

choices. Julie was depicted as the calming force balancing Todd's assertiveness with her nurturing

demeanor. And their children who were involved in the show each brought their own unique

personality to the

television screen. Now, like many of you, I would binge the show. It was fun. It was dumb.

We didn't really have to think very hard when we watched it. But these two and the rest of their

family became moderately famous from just kind of

airing their dirty laundry to the American public. And we ate up every minute of it. Now, while

this show did present a picture perfect family, there were underlying tensions.
