On this episode, I'm going to be talking about the case against Douglas Scott Nair, or Neihar, depending on who's telling you how to say that last name.

Now on Sunday, July 20th, 2025, a man by the name of Douglas Nair boarded his 30-foot

Sterling Center console boat with his wife of three years. Her name has not been made public yet. And they were going on an

early morning fishing trip. The fishing vessel pulled away from their private dock connected to a canal,

located at the couple's residence in the city of Holmes Beach, located on Anna Maria Island in Manatee County, Florida,

which is situated on the Gulf of Mexico.

On the way to the fishing spot, Douglas's wife noticed that his demeanor seemed off.

60-year-old Douglas was not as talkative as he normally was and just appeared to be

angry. Once the couple reached their destination, which was about 33 miles off the coast of Bean

Point, Douglas lowered his fishing rod and began to fish. Noticing that Douglas seemed to become more

irate while fishing, especially when his fishing line snapped, his wife got up from the bean

bag that she had been sitting on in the port side of the boat and proceeded to get in the water

with a pool noodle, hoping to avoid some

sort of altercation that she knew was coming. While floating in the ocean, the wife kept hold of a

rope that was tied securely to the boat. At some point, Douglas untied the rope, put the fishing boat in gear, and took off, leaving

his wife floating in the ocean. Believing that at that moment, Douglas had left her out there to

die. The wife then noticed that there was another boat off in the distance headed in her direction.

As soon as she noticed this, Douglas must have seen the other vessel and turned his boat around

and came back for her. Once Douglas had stopped the boat, the wife climbed back onto the vessel, and Douglas began to repeatedly punch her on the right side of her head.

As she fell to the floor, crumpled, Douglas began to stomp on her head with both of his feet multiple times. While being punched and stomped on,
